EROmasta Coir Mesh is a strong, natural, loose-knit erosion control barrier. Its open weave design makes it easy for plants to grow through unimpeded. Coir mesh has a longer effective life than other biodegradable erosion control materials and holds water efficiently, ensuring a moist environment to promote faster plant growth.
A 25m roll measures 2 meters wide, making it a flexible product suitable for most residential, commercial, civil and coastal revegetation projects.
Over time, the coir fibre which is derived from coconut husks biodegrades completely into the soil. It is ideal for establishing gardens, grasses, planting out verges on slopes, for use in wetland or riparian areas as well as for general landscaping use.
The strong, heavy fibres resist degradation for up to two years depending on the environmental conditions, giving new plants plenty of time to establish and fill out the area. Coir is a renewable resource, widely used in landscaping as well as civil engineering applications. Coir mesh has a higher tensile strength than the more common jute mesh products, allowing it to be installed on steeper batters or areas with a higher water flow.
Ideal for:
- Grass establishment
- Coastal areas
- Natural revegetation areas
- Slopes
- Wetlands
- General landscaping
