Product Description

Bump caps are a good solution for protection in the work place where a full hard hat is not required. They protect workers from minor impacts for example, knocking against a stationary object, but not from falling objects. A bump cap is made from an injection moulded shell encased in a baseball cap style hat that provides sun protection and holds the plastic shell in place.

Bump caps don’t sit off the head like a normal hard hat, and the fit is close and secure like a regular baseball cap. This improves its ability to be worn in areas where hard hats aren’t suitable, such as in horizontal applications, around and under vehicles, workers installing products in roofs or voids, food processing and some manufacturing and assembly jobs, and jobs involving moving around in confined spaces. Bump caps are also more breathable due to being much thinner and lighter than hard hats.

It provides basic protection and should not be used in place of a hard hat for protection against falling or flying objects.
